Personal Training

I am now accepting 4 students for personal training.
Training individually with an instructor has many benefits, especially when taken along with regular weekly classes. Personal training allows you the instructors full attention throughout the class. This translates to the student being able to have any principle being taught applied directly. Feeling every motion when performed by an instructor rather than a student will heighten your capacity to quickly assimilate the information and learn to apply the principles in a direct and economical fashion. The instructor can also quickly identify any areas that require more attention, or the student has more interest in.

Class Structure

Classes are available for anyone age 6-to-adult. They can be one on one personal classes, small group classes, and even a family class. I have a father and son I have been teaching privately for awhile now and they have a lot of fun sharing the learning experience and being able to train together.

Benifits of Training

There are many benefits to training, including a greater level of fitness, flexibility, and stamina.
You will also achieve better coordination and balance physically and mentally. Due to the constant nature of change in the training and working under pressure you will be more equipped to handle any situation in a relaxed yet alert manner. Which will ultimately relieve stress and fatigue from the mind and body.

Training

The classes can be geared toward your personal goals and interests, or if you are unsure of the areas you may want to train in we can sit down and work up a program that will fit your needs.
The majority of the training is performed in free-flow and can include empy hand/self-defense, chi kung, chi sao/sticking hands, trapping, chin-na, traditional and improvised weapons including escrima/stick, staff, swords, knife/blade work, gun/weapon disarming, cane, environmental additions, close quarter fighting, structure emphasis, blindfold work, restrictive limb/body part training, forms/set patterns are also available to anyone interested though the emphasis on free-flow should always be prevalent.

Purpose

The goal of Inner Warrior Martial Arts is to provide private/semi-private instruction tailored to individual needs. This is a principle based learning environment for both the teacher and student. The principles are based upon structure, flow, energy, sensitivity, and change. Physically speaking most people are relatively the same, but there are many things that set us apart. We work with an individuals interests, needs, personal perception, and existing skills-including non-martial skills. Many people find this type of learning more self-fulfilling and more fun than training in a school with a rigid system structure and with 20+ other students where your interaction with the instructor may only be 1 to 5 minutes of an hour class. At any given time group classes will not exceed 8 people, this ensures a better environment for the transfer of information and student/instructor interaction.
